ICE Gets a Little Fuel

ICE ConferenceDigital Alberta and CIPS Edmonton are partnering to bring together a feature presentation on the relationship between digital media and technology. Fuel Industries' Chief Strategy Officer will deliver a presentaiton titled "The Role of the CIO in Navigating the Shifting Mediascape". Brady Gilchrist, will explain how technology is fundamentally changing how people interact with each other and with mass media, how it's affecting the marketing and advertising industry and why it will be the CIO who is increasingly called upon to solve marketing challenges. Trade Routes Contributions Program applications

The Canadian Heritage Trade Routes Contributions Program provides financial support to entrepreneurs in the digital media arena to develop and pursue opportunities in international markets. Deadline for applications is October 1, 2007. We are pleased to host Patricia Elliott from the program who will be in Edmonton September 10-12 and Calgary September 12-14 to meet one-on-one with companies interested in submitting an application. At the recent information sessions on Serious Games, Patricia Elliott joined us from Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada where she looks after cultural industries in BC, Alberta, and Yukon. She shared some information about what kind of federal assistance and support is available for digital media companies looking to enter international markets.
