Join Canada @ The Tokyo Game Show 2006

First held in 1996 as an industry forum and tradeshow, the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) is commemorating the 10th anniversary this year. This year's event is being held September 22-24, 2006. Through these years, TGS has grown from a domestic trade show to an event attracting global attention for its coverage of the latest trends and developments in computer entertainment. Last year’s show featured an expanded range of exhibitions, including next generation games and the newest in software. With an increasing number of exhibitors from overseas and in the area of cell phone content participating, it attracted 131 exhibitors - the highest in the show’s history. It marked the highest in attendance, too, with a total of 176,056 visitors including the press of both international and domestic media coming to the show.

The Canadian Embassy is organizing a Canada Pavilion where game developers, middleware and development tools providers, as well as publishers will be able to exhibit at a reasonable cost by sharing the space with other Canadian companies. The Digital Media Association of Alberta is looking for Alberta companies and entrepreneurs who would be interested in participating in a mission to TGS. The deadline for inquiries is June 6.
