The Government of Alberta, International and Intergovernmental Relations, in cooperation with the Canadian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City/Vietnam invite Alberta companies to participate in a SEMINAR & BUSINESS MATCHMAKING EVENT:

“OPPORTUNITIES IN VIETNAM’S VIBRANT ICT SECTOR”

The Alberta Multimedia Development Fund (AMDF) assists in the development of a strong Alberta production industry and improves Alberta’s competitiveness in screen-based production and investment. The AMDF is designed to assist conventional production practices and encourage new business models and alternative distribution or broadcast delivery options for screen-based audio-visual content creators.

Despite hail, rain and a tornado warning, Tuesday's All Associations Bar-B-Q was a raving success. This is a strong indicator of how industry members prioritize collaboration and the value of having a broad spectrum of sectors to network with. The overall consensus: 'this was the best networking event I have been to all year.' That statement speaks for itself.

"René has been paramount to the Digital Media industry in Alberta," says Larry Jacques, President of Digital Alberta. "On behalf of the Board of Directors and our membership, I would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication Rene has provided to our organization. We wish her the best in the future and we are grateful she will support the transition to a new management team. Hers will be tough shoes to fill."

This 2nd Annual All Associations Year-End Bar-B-Q is an opportunity to thank all our respective members for their support over the past year, provide an excellent networking opportunity with 25 different associations participating, have a beer and then...see ya in September!

The judges have released the list of finalists for the 2010 mediaFRESH Awards.

The Video 2.0 workshop organized by Digital Alberta and led at the Banff Centre the weekend of March 4-7th was a great success in large part to the efforts and dedication of Board Director and Marketing Chair, Alex Gault and our partners at the Banff New Media Institute.
