Media Research Administration Work Study at The Banff Centre

This work study program provides the opportunity to assist in the development of strategic initiatives at The Banff Centre in Digital Media Research. The work study participant will develop research, communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills through their work with Banff Centre staff, faculty and artists.

Digital Alberta at 2012 Banff World Media Festival

The Banff World Media Festival at the Banff Springs Hotel saw a gathering of film, television, and digital media producers from around the world. Digital Alberta was present to showcase the world of digital media and highlight some convergence trends being created by some exciting companies and individuals from around the province.

Digital Media Scoping Survey

The Information and Communication and Technology Council (ICTC) has commenced a new initiative: HR Capacity for Digital Media. This exciting initiative is designed to help position Canada as a global leader in the digital economy by supporting industry's efforts to develop a highly skilled and competitive Digital Media workforce, towards achieving greater success and productivity in the digital economy. To this end, this project will produce competency profiles for priority occupations, a human resources guide for small to medium companies, as well as a labour market analytical framework.

Call for nominations: DUX Award at the National HR Forum

DUX is the Latin word for leader, and with the creation of this annual award, the Cultural Human Resources Council (CHRC) plans to honour Canada's cultural HR leaders who have contributed to the dynamic and inspiring cultural life we enjoy in this country. In 2012 we honour those unsung heroes who selflessly dedicate their time and energies to nurture young talent: mentors.
