Speakers Announced for “CREATING CONTENT IN THE FILM, TELEVISION AND DIGITAL MEDIA WORLDS”

November 26 & 27, 2011, Banff Centre of the Arts

Creating compelling content and an engaging human experience is the goal of both traditional and new media storytellers. Today we have a combination of platforms that connect a person to the narrative. Ultimately a story that is interactive plays to the strengths of all media and has the potential to reach a broader audience.

But as the story becomes more dynamic the challenges of reach, platform and funding also become more challenging. Add to that intellectual property rights (ownership of ideas), government regulation of bandwidth usage and the overall ensuing battles between traditional media outlets and technologists, and the complexity of producing content intensifies.

A 2-day symposium on “Creating Content for the Film, Television and Digital Media Worlds” is taking place at the Banff Centre of the Arts November 26 – 27, 2011.  Co-produced by Digital Alberta and the Alberta Media Production Industries Association.
